Movie Review "Beauty and The Beast"


Now, I will review the one of the best film from Disney. It is "Beauty and The Beast". This film was released in 2017 directed by Bill Condon. The script for Beauty and the Beast was written by Stephen Chbosky, Evan Spiliotopoulos, and Linda Woolverton. The genre of this film is fantasy musical. It is a fictional film with some singing scene. The characters in this film are Belle, Adam, Belle's father, and witch. Belle is a beauty girl and friendly to everyone. Everyone in her town knows her. She lived with her father. Her father is a scientist. Adam is a handsome prince from another town but he always treat other people badly. So he was cursed by witch as a Beast, it is an animal with ugly face, cruel and grumpy. 

Beauty and the beast tells the story of a royal prince who is wealthy but cruel and arrogant. One day during a heavy rain, the prince was holding a party in the kingdom with his followers. Suddenly an old woman dressed in rags interrupted the party. The grandmother gave a beautiful rose to the prince, hoping that he would allow her to take shelter in his castle for a while. But the prince sent her away because he was disgusted by her appearance. She warned him not to look at someone by their appearance because beauty lies in the heart. The grandmother felt angry and then she showed her true self, it turned out that she was a famous witch and she was disguised just to test the prince. The prince was shocked, he regretted his actions and apologized for insulting the grandmother, but it was too late. The grandmother cursed everyone at the party including the prince. The prince was cursed to be ugly, a human with an animal head but a normal body, while his followers were cursed to be furniture. And the rose from the grandmother was kept in the prince's room. The flower would live for 21 years but it would shed its petals every day after 21 years had passed. The grandmother said that the prince must change and show his love to others but he must get something in return. If he couldn't then he would be cursed for the rest of his life. For years he shut himself in his room and created a magic mirror to see the outside world because he was ashamed to meet people with his appearance.

Besides, there was a beautiful girl named Belle. She lived alone with her father. One day her father had to go to the opposite village to do an errand. Dad left by riding his favorite horse. Unfortunately, they got lost in the forest and it was already night time. While on the way they suddenly met a pack of savage wolves who tried to eat them. They ran away, the horse who felt very scared ran as fast as possible and did not realize that Dad was still behind. Father felt very anxious, fortunately he saw a shelter in the middle of the forest. He immediately entered the house but there was no one inside. Shortly after that he heard the sound of a very scary angry animal, it turned out to be the bad guy and the house where the father stopped was the bad guy's palace. The bad guy was angry that his residence was known to someone. The father was detained by the bad guy and locked up in his house.
The next day his horse returned home alone. Belle was surprised why her father was not with her. Hearing this news, Belle felt very sad and immediately went back to follow her father accompanied by the horse. Arriving at the palace, Belle asked the ugly man to release her father and replace Belle as his prisoner. And must live in the palace for his life. 
At first they hated each other. but as time went by, they became close and often spent time together. the ugly one began to fall in love with belle but he was ashamed to express it. he was afraid that belle would not like him and eventually stay away from him. but it turned out that belle also had the same feelings for the ugly one. one day the ugly one fell ill and was dying. belle felt very sad. She cried and unintentionally expressed her feelings to the prince. Without realizing it, the last rose petal had fallen and the ugly curse had disappeared. A miracle came and the prince came back to life and turned into his self before. The prince felt very happy because he was finally free from the curse and it meant that he had succeeded in becoming a useful person and could make the people around him happy. he felt sorry for his actions and promised not to repeat his actions. 

The animation of this movie is so great. Start from the costume, the character, taking scene and use the chronological plot so it's easy to understand. Beside that, the language use in this film use basic english so everyone can get more some vocabulary that they didn't understand before. The moral value of this movie are we should not look at people by their appearance. Because beauty comes from the heart. and we should always be humble and help others who need our help.

Third Meeting Class

Today, 13th September 2023, we have Content writing for creative industry class. In this occassion, our activity is present about poster that we have made before. The presenters are first group until fourth group. The first group are Olga and Naning. They make an education poster and tell about importance of education also the philosophy o the design. Then the second group are Putri and Faras. They present about book bazar in our campus, so with that agenda, we can got a lot of information from reading the book. And the third group are Naila and Yusron. They present about their own English training camp program. If we join that program we can improve our skill in English. And the last presenters are Peni and Zakia, they tell about English course or English tutor. We can improve our English skill with joining this tutor, because the tutors are profesional teachers.  And for the last agenda after the presentation have done, Miss Syifa give us a task to review 2 short stories for next...

Fourth Meeting

Today, 14th November 2023 we have a class again. Because class that conducted tomorrow actually must be conducted last week but Miss Syifa can not come into class so it changed tomorrow. And today is the actual schedule. Today we continue the presentation about our poster that we have made. It was only 2 group that presentation, there are fifth and sixth group. The first is fifth group, it consist Afti and Rhoma. They present about TOEFL course. And the last presentation is from sixth group that consist me, Putri Karunia Illahi and my friend Nanda. We present about education seminar. The theme of the seminar is about literacy, so we invite Febby Rastanty as the speaker and Arafah Rianti as the moderator. I'm so happy because in the end of the presentation, our lecturer said that our presentation was good, but it just 1 correction.
